Welcome to the MyHoodd neighborhood. MyHoodd is a warm, friendly community app built to help newcomers settle into their new cities, find local group chats, and make new friends.

To keep MyHoodd a warm, friendly, and respectful environment, we require all users to follow these Community Guidelines. These rules apply to all forms of interaction, including text posts, photo shares, poll options, comment threads, direct messages, and group chats.

1. Be Kind and Respectful to Neighbors

MyHoodd is a community-first space. We want all residents to feel safe and welcome.

• No Harassment or Bullying: Do not target other users with abuse, threats, name-calling, or intentional intimidation.
• No Hate Speech: We do not tolerate hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, caste, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or language. Moving to a new city can be tough; our app aims to bring people together, not divide them.
• Respect Language Barriers: MyHoodd supports native language filters (Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Kannada, etc.). Respect users communicating in their preferred language.

2. Keep It Clean and Family-Friendly

Neighborhood feeds are spaces where people of all generations connect. Please ensure your uploads are appropriate:

• No Explicit Content: Do not post sexually explicit text, imagery, or nudity. Our automated scanning systems will immediately flag and delete posts containing inappropriate media.
• No Violence or Gore: Do not post graphic violence, animal abuse, or self-harm content.
• Zero Tolerance for Illegal Activities: Do not use MyHoodd to advertise, coordinate, or facilitate illegal acts, including selling regulated substances, counterfeit items, or offering illicit services.

3. Prevent Spam and Scams

We work actively to prevent MyHoodd from becoming a billboard of advertisements or a breeding ground for scams.

• No Spamming: Do not post the same comment repeatedly or flood community feeds (Hoods) with promotional messages.
• No Unverified Commercial Activities: Do not act as a broker or business distributor posting fake listings, rent rates, or charging user fees for joining Hoods. Honest resident-to-resident advice is highly encouraged.
• Protect Privacy: Do not publish other people's private information (such as phone numbers, home addresses, or private chat histories) without their explicit consent (no doxxing).

4. Local Vibe and Constructive Contributions

We encourage helpful sharing that helps neighbors find their footing in a new city:

• Share honest reviews: Help other neighbors by sharing accurate rent prices, safety reviews, bus routes, and local food spots.
• Plan fun meetups: Use the event features to plan weekend climbs, coffee gathers, or board game nights. Do not organize unsafe or disruptive gatherings.

Violations of these guidelines will result in enforcement actions based on the severity of the offense. Actions include:

• Content removal and email warnings.
• Temporary account suspension (locking account features like messaging or posting).
• Permanent account deletion and device bans for repeat offenders or severe violations (such as child exploitation, hate speech, or scam coordinates).
